The National Repertory Orchestra celebrates 17 years in Breckenridge, Colorado this summer with its usual series of concerts in Breckenridge and around the state. Originally formed as the Blue Jeans Symphony in 1960, the group later became the Colorado Philharmonic. Following 20 years in Evergreen, the orchestra moved to Keystone and changed their name to the National Repertory Orchestra to promote their national and international mix of musicians.

In 1993, the Town of Breckenridge invited the National Repertory Orchestra to perform at the newly completed Riverwalk Center and that's been the home of the NRO ever since.

Historic Breckenridge, CO celebrates Kingdom Days this weekend in a nod to its early mining days of the late 1850s. Unintentionally left off the U.S. maps following its founding in 1859, Breckenridge became known as "Colorado's Kingdom" until its official incorporation in 1936.


Supported by a crazy weekend of activities, Kingdom Days in Breckenridge is now in its fourth year. Breckenridge CO Town Clean Up Day, May 22, 2010

Breckenridge CO Town Clean Up DayThe Breckenridge CO Town Clean Up Day was held Saturday, May 22, 2010 and there was a great turn out, despite the fact that the event occurred on the same morning as the Summit High School graduation ceremony. This annual event is hosted to help prepare the Town of Breckenridge for the summer season. Volunteers walk the streets and Riverwalk area of town, picking up trash and debris which has collected over the winter.

This year, the Breckenridge Town Clean Up Day was held at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center in the heart of downtown. Volunteers gathered at 9am to receive their gloves, garbage bags and location assignments for the targeted areas for trash pickup. It was great to drive to our
