Why Sell Your Breckenridge Home in AugustIt’s been well-documented that the month of May is usually the best time to sell home. According to data from ATTOM Data Solutions, which analyzed 14.7 million home sales from 2011 to 2017, home owners listing their home in May saw the strongest premium paid above estimated market value than any other month.

But since May 2019 has long been in the rearview mirror and we’re only just now kicking off the month of August, we thought we’d explore why Breckenridge home owners should sell a home or condo during the start of back-to-school season.

Here’s what we found…

August may be the best month to sell in the summer

According to that same data from ATTOM Data Solutions, August may be one of the better months to test the market during the summer

Breckenridge Top Floor CondosWhile buying a condo on the first floor in Breckenridge certainly has advantages, especially when it comes to lugging all your ski gear inside, there’s still something ultra-appealing about calling the top floor home. In real estate, we always reference the phrase “location, location, location” when talking about buying and selling a home, and when we’re talking condos specifically, vertical location also matters, and here’s why…

It’s Always Warmer on the Top Floor

If you paid any attention during your early science classes, chances are you already know that heat rises. So when the temperature drops and the Breckenridge snow starts to fall, the heat being cranked up from all those lower-level units will help keep your place nice and cozy.

Adding a home office to your Breckenridge homeThe number of people who work from home is on the rise, which means adding a home office can only be beneficial for existing home owners. So even if you're not already among those who office from the comfort of their own home, here are several reasons why you still might want to add an office space to your Breckenridge residence…

Increase your home’s value

If you already have extra space in the form of a den or a sun room, transitioning that space into an office probably won’t do much good, especially if you don’t plan on using it. But if you creatively take advantage of unused space or even add-on to your home, chances are it’ll only increase its value.

Contribute to environmental benefits

Fewer daily commutes means fewer emissions being

U.S. News & World Report has once again unveiled their annual list of the 25 best small towns to visit in America, and three are located right here in Colorado. Rankings for the list are based on expert and user opinions, and the website’s methodology claims to score each city in 10 different categories, which include, among other things attractions, culture, dining, adventure, nightlife, and romance. In addition, each city evaluated must also have a population of 50,000 people or less.

Taking home this year’s top spot overall is Telluride, another Colorado resort town located about 5 hours south of Breckenridge. Not surprisingly, Telluride scored particularly well in the adventure category thanks to its more than 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, and
