Best April Events in Breckenridge [Updated for 2023]

Welcome to Springtime in the Mountains! April definitely promises sunny skies and spring skiing. With a chance to play outside, or settle in for some indoor Easter activities, there is plenty to do in April in Summit County.

Plan Before You Go

Most ski areas start to close in April, and while the snow starts to melt in the town of Breckenridge, there's still plenty of skiing and riding to be had up high. Starting April 17th, only certain lifts and ski runs will remain open so be sure to do your research before hitting the slopes. Here is a link the Breckenridge Ski Area for specifics, including the gondola closing date (spoiler alert - it's April 30th).

Ukrainian Egg Decorating

Spring brings colorful flowers to other parts of the country. Here in the high country, we're still steeped in white snow so we have to create our own colors. Try something new this year with this Ukrainian tradition. It uses a wax resist method for decorating and dying Easter eggs.

This class is being offered Apri 1-8 at the Fuqua Livery Stable. Learn more and make your reservations early on the BreckCreate website.
