The Breckenridge real estate market has seen consistent year over year increases in the number of properties sold for several years now. Since 2009, the number of residential property sales has increased from 360 per year to 540 sales in 2012. The great news is that 2013 is continuing to show the same upswing in the real estate market. At the beginning of October, the number of residential properties sold in Breckenridge was up 22.01% compared to the same time last year. As of September 30, 2013, 449 properties have sold in Breckenridge versus 368 properties sold in 2012. Buyers have returned to the marketplace!
Single family homes sales in Breckenridge have seen steady gains in the number sold so far this year. Year-to-date the market is up 8.72% compared to 2012. Another noticeable fact is that the time it takes to sell a property (Days on Market) for single family homes. In 2012, your home would have been on the market for an average of 314 days. For 2013, the average days on market has decreased to 282 days. The inventory is moving much quicker and the supply has decreased, which is starting to drive the sales price in the right direction.
