Breckenridge Peak 6 Opening Day Announced

Breckenridge Ski Resort has officially announced the opening date of Peak 6 in Breckenridge.  At noon, on Christmas Day, the lifts will be open to the public!  Over the last decade, this represents one of the largest and famous ski expansions in North America.  This is the first expansion at the Breckenridge Ski Resort since Peak 7 was opened in 2002.

With the opening of Peak 6, two new chairlifts will start running as well- the Zendo Chair and Kensho SuperChair.  Both lifts will let skiers and snowboarders access the high alpine terrain.  The new 400 acres will feature above tree line terrain, with intermediate and expert trails.  Along with the terrain that the Breckenridge Ski Resort will open, will be 138 hike-to acres.  The skiable acreage at the Breckenridge Ski Resort will be increased by 23%.  The trails that will be opened on December 25th will be dependent on the weather and current snow conditions (which looking at today and the fresh powder, it should be great).

The chief operating office of Breckenridge Ski Resort said in a written statement, “This project has been years in the making, and thanks to the incredible efforts of the enter project team, we are poised to be able to open Peak 6 on schedule and deliver the holiday gift of a lifetimes to our guests from around the world.”

I hope that you are able to have a weekend away from the hustle and bustle.  Come  enjoy the serenity of the being on the ski slopes, wind and snow whipping against your face. The season is off to a great start and the snow keeps on falling.  Make sure you plan a trip to Breckenridge Ski Resort.  If you are interested in buying a mountain getaway, make sure to check out my website or call me with questions.
