Breckenridge Spring Fever Kickoffs March 22nd
The Breckenridge Spring Fever festivities are set to kickoff tomorrow, March 22nd. The month long celebration is one of the best in the Colorado High Country. It marks the home stretch to the end of the ski season. On Saturday, make sure to go to Peak 6 and watch the GoPro BigMountain Challenge. The International FreeSkiers and Snowboarders Association are set to challenge some of the best freeskiers as they take on the narrow chutes, steep terrain, and cliffs found in the new terrain on Peak6. Spectators are welcomed! Some of the best places to view the competition are off the Kenosha Chairlift. The event will end at the base of Sixth Sense terrain, which is a great spot to watch the action.
Breckenridge Spring Fever continues on Sunday, March 23,2014, head to Seven's restaurant patio, where some of the best chefs compete to have the title of Best Chili. The chili cook-off will take place from noon to 2p.m. Tickets will be on sale for $12. Indulge in all the chili you can stomach and don't forget to vote for your favorite. Also, throughout the day, kids can participate in Ripperoo's World Cup Races. Kids will be able to race down Swinger and the first 40 children to finish will receive a special prize from Ripperoo. The race is open to kids of all ages. In order to participate, you must have a lift ticket and kids must show up at the starting gate, register, and then get ready to race!
