Breckenridge Tree Lighting

'Tis the season!

Tonight, come out and brave the cold for the Race of the Santas and Reindeer and the annual Breckenridge tree lighting.  At 4:30, over 100 holiday enthusiasts will be dressed up as Santa.  For kids under 12, you can register and get a free set of reindeer antlers and race along with Santa.  Santa and his reindeer will race down historic Main Street, Breckenridge.  It is a great event for the entire family.  At the finish line, warm-up with some cookies and hot chocolate at the Red, White, and Blue Fire Department.  Then watch the Bernese Mountain Dogs lead Santa back to the Blue River Plaza to watch the annual tree lighting. The lights will turn on around 5:30 p.m.  After the tree lighting, bring the kids across the street, to the Barney Ford Museum, and enjoy getting your picture taken with Santa.  This is a free event for all ages!  Make sure to bring your own camera to capture the moment.

With snow covering everything in Breckenridge, it is hard to not get into the holiday spirit.
