Friends of the CAIC Benefit Bash November 13, 2010 in Breckenridge, Colorado
On Saturday November 13, 2010 the Friends of the CAIC hold their third annual Benefit Bash to benefit the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC). This year’s event will be held at the Riverwalk Center in downtown Breckenridge and there will be live music, plenty of food and beer, a silent auction and door prizes to the lucky winners.
The Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) performs several important services as a cash-funded program of the Colorado Geological Survey. Most importantly, they provide transportation and recreational forecasts of mountain weather and avalanche conditions. Each year Colorado ranks as one of the most dangerous snowpacks in the country. The CAIC provides vital information for both recreational users and professionals traveling in the backcountry.
The Friends of the CAIC, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was formed to promote avalanche safety in Colorado. Part of the Friends’ mission is to ensure adequate funding for the CAIC’s backcountry program, while also contributing to avalanche awareness and education throughout Colorado.
The Friends of the CAIC Benefit Bash kicks off at 5pm and goes until 10pm. Tickets are available online for only $25 and include one door prize ticket, beer tickets, dinner and entertainment. Don’t miss this special event. Breckenridge discount lodging is available through Book Breck when you mention the CAIC Benefit Bash.
