Frisco Bay Marina Opening this Weekend

Springtime is in the air and summer officially kicks off this Memorial Day weekend.  The snow and ice has melted off of Lake Dillon.  The mountains have their lime-green color variances as the aspen trees start to bud.  Starting this weekend, the Frisco Bay Marina will be starting their normal summer business operation.   Come enjoy a relaxing weekend on the reservoir, and rent a canoe, single or double kayak or a powerboat.  Starting on June 18th, stand up paddle boards will be available as well- but try not to fall in!  The water in Lake Dillon iscold.

Don't forget to mark your calendars!  To celebrate the start of the season for the Frisco Bay Marina, there will be fun events throughout the last weekend in May.  The annual "Rock the Dock" party will take place on May 31st, from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.  Come out enjoy $5 burgers and beer from Island Bar and Grille. There will be free music being performed by the Funky Johnson Band and marina giveaways.

Due to the current water levels, the Frisco Bay Marina boat launch is not open to the public.  With the water levels constantly changing because of the melting snow and spring rain, they are hoping to have the boat launch open by mid-June.  The Frisco Marina is a full-service marina that offers boat storage and repair, as well as slip and mooring rentals.  The boat launch is a free-service, open to the public.

Throughout the summer, boat and board tours and lessons will be offered at the Frisco Bay Marina.  Lake Dillon is a serene location, surrounded by the beauty of the Ten Mile Range.  Make sure to take advantage of the summer activities that Breckenridge and Summit County have to offer.
