Mardi Gras in Breckenridge

Hard to imagine this is the last week of February. March is just days away. Mardi Gras is just around the corner. If you are a Mardi Gras enthusiast, I would encourage you to celebrate in Breckenridge this year. From March 1st- March 4th, make sure you have your beads, boas, and masks. Come celebrate the occasion, mountain style! This Saturday, March 1st, the annual Mardi Gras ball will be held at the Beaver Run Resort. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. the ballroom is converted into a true New Orleans atmosphere. Be ready to dance and enjoy drinks and authentic New Orleans cuisine. Come dressed up with masks, beads, and boas! Why travel to New Orleans?

The cost per individual is $60 and $120 for couples or $500 for a table. This price includes your food. There will be a cash bar available. Purchase your tickets in person at the Breckenridge Welcome center, online (which includes lodging) here, or call Gavin Dalgliesh at 970.453.5055 to reserve your ticket with a credit card. The Mardi Gras ball will a great way to celebrate the tradition!

For your Fat Tuesday celebrating, join us on Main Street Breckenridge for the annual Mardi Gras parade. Starting at 4:30 p.m., homemade floats will start at Lincoln Street and proceed south to Park Avenue. Come ready to catch some beads as the floats go by. Feel free to come by my office at 229 S. Main Street, right between Starbucks and Bubba Gumps, to see the event. We have some of the best seats in town.

Mardi Gras is the kickoff to spring. Breckenridge has been fun activities planned for the end of the ski season. I hope to see you in town, having fun as the last two months of ski season is just kicking off.

Event is sponsored by the Breckenridge Resort Chamber
